We are currently looking for emergency relief veterinarians to join our team. These shifts include days and overnights every day of the week. Number of shifts available varies by the month. Previous emergency experience preferred, but consideration given to candidates with experience in busy daytime practices. Ability to perform emergency surgeries (GDV, splenectomy, gastrotomy/enterotomy/R&A) preferred. We have a great group of staff ER vets who are available to come in for surgeries when caseload requires it or if the veterinarian covering the shift is uncomfortable performing the indicated surgery. We also work closely with several local board certified surgeons. Our hospital offers a full in house lab, digital radiology, ER ultrasound for FAST/TFAST scans and the options to call in either a sonographer or a board certified radiologist for complete abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms. We also have an endoscope available and have a team of individuals who can be called in to run an endoscopy case.
VERH is known for exceptional nursing care and our relief veterinarians will enjoy getting to work with a very skilled technical support staff. We also employ two interns each year, so many of the shifts include oversight of an intern and their help managing caseload. If you are interested in joining our team please feel free to submit a resume with the form below or email Dr. Kelly Romero at email@example.com. Our relief vets area also asked to provide proof of Colorado licensure and individual liability insurance.
