Care Coordinator- Emergency Department

COVER LETTER REQUIRED!

FCVERH is seeking a dynamic personality to join our Care Coordinator team in the Emergency Department. We are looking for someone who has at least 1 year reception experience in the veterinary industry, or two years in another medical setting. Schedule will be 4 nights/week (3-10 in winter, 3-11 in summer) to start, with the potential to move to days and/or share in the Rehabilitation front desk duties in the future.

Some of the job duties include, but are not limited to:

Check clients in and out

Process payment and balance cash drawer

Answer phones in a timely and professional manner

Send (email/fax) records for patients to appropriate destination(s)

Schedule ultrasound appointments and facilitate emergency visits – phone triage skills needed

Maintain clean work space including exam rooms

Clearly communicate financial policies and estimates to clients

Make post visit phone calls to check patient status

The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task in an often chaotic environment. Attention to detail is vital to success. Must have a professional demeanor and appearance.

Our Care Coordinators also help our Veterinary Technicians with restraint, so animal handling experience is preferred, but we will train these skills if necessary. Willingness to learn goes a long way!

Salary: $14.00 to $18.00 /hour

 

Veterinary Assistant- Emergency Department

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Patient Care Team as a Veterinary Assistant. At least 6 months of animal handling experience is required. Looking to fill 4 shifts per week.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Animal restraint for radiographs, blood draws, procedures and more

Administer medications and treatments to patients under Technician and DVM guidance

Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning

Walk patients

Stock supplies

Prepare surgery supplies

Limited client interaction including answering the phone, helping with check in and out processes

Our team is huge on helping you grow, so this position is ideal for someone working towards their CVT or similar program.
